Mazhar Nasir, a resident of the small town of Hasanpur in Amroha, has achieved a milestone that has brought honor not only to his family but to the entire town. In the recently announced All India AYUSH Post-Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2025, Mazhar demonstrated his exceptional talent by securing the first rank in the Unani Medical entrance exam across the country. A Meritorious Student Since Childhood
The story of Mazhar Nasir, son of Mohammad Nasir Chaudhary of Lalbagh, Hasanpur, is filled with inspiration. His father says that Mazhar was very sharp in his studies from a young age. He always came first in his class and passed all his examinations up to Intermediate with a first division. His success was not limited to just books; his inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn always motivated him to move forward.
After Intermediate, he completed his Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), which is considered a prestigious degree in the field of Unani medicine. Studying at an institution like AMU not only provided him with high-level education but also a conducive environment where he could further hone his skills.
The Journey to Becoming an All-India Topper
After completing his BUMS, Mazhar began preparing for the AIAPGET 2025. This exam is held for admission to postgraduate courses in Unani medicine across the country. It is an extremely competitive exam in which thousands of students participate. This time, a total of 2,263 candidates had registered for the Unani exam, out of which 2,170 candidates appeared.
Mazhar Nasir scored 338 marks in this difficult exam, which is equivalent to a 99.95 percentile, and secured the first position nationwide. This performance is not only the result of his hard work but also a testament to his determination and discipline.
Religious Inclination Alongside Studies
Another aspect of Mazhar’s success that sets him apart from other students is his religious nature. According to his family members, Mazhar is a religious person as well as a brilliant student. After taking the exam, he immediately left for a four-month religious journey with the Tablighi Jamaat. This shows his simplicity and spiritual inclination, which helped him stay balanced and calm in life. This aspect of his character teaches that to be successful, not only book knowledge is necessary but also a strong moral and spiritual foundation.
