Teej Mahotsav 2025 Begins with Grand Celebrations at Dilli Haat Pitampura

Delhi’s festive heart is beating loud and proud again, as the Teej Mahotsav 2025 opened today at the ever-charming Dilli Haat Pitampura. With colours, culture, and celebration in the air, the three-day festival was inaugurated in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta, who lit the ceremonial lamp and addressed a packed audience with warmth and joy.

Hosted by Delhi Tourism in collaboration with the Government of Delhi, the Mahotsav brings together tradition and modernity in a celebration that honors womanhood, creativity, and community.

Joining the Chief Minister were Tourism Minister Shri Kapil Mishra, Delhi Tourism Managing Director Ms. Niharika Rai, General Manager Mr. D. Karthikeyan, and other notable dignitaries.

“Teej is not just a festival—it is a celebration of nature, womanhood, and community spirit,” said CM Rekha Gupta during her speech, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra emphasized the festival’s inclusive nature, stating, “This is a platform to revive our heritage while embracing contemporary culture. Entry is free because festivals like these belong to the people.”

Dilli Haat has been transformed into a vibrant cultural fairground with:

Decorated Swings & Selfie Corners
Traditional Mehndi and Bangle Stalls
Live Pottery Wheel and Bangle-Making Demos
100+ Theme-Based Stalls — 80 for handlooms & crafts, 25 for traditional Indian cuisines

Day one saw an electrifying live performance by Punjabi pop icon Jasbir Jassi, who turned the venue into a musical fiesta with his foot-tapping hits.
